TechCore is a core investment vehicle actively investing in or owning technology-advantaged real estate in the United States, including data centers, carrier hotels, specialized technology corporate campuses, “Always On” facilities, and life sciences properties located in primary markets and leased to industry leading tenants. In the wake of the global financial crisis, GI Partners formed TechCore with CalPERS to acquire technology-advantaged properties, capitalizing on the themes of growing data and connectivity usage, the increase in importance of complex treatments for human health challenges and the growth of other forms of technology and research in everyday life. Since 2012, TechCore has acquired 19 properties and invested in over 3.6 million square feet of stabilized core technology-advantaged real estate and continues to actively invest in this sector.
